Beijing Infrastructure Investment Co., Ltd. was renamed and established based on the assets of the former Beijing Subway Corporation in November 2003. It is a solely state-owned company under the jurisdiction of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, mainly engaged in investment and financing for urban infrastructure projects. At present, it is conducting the work concerning investment and financing for rail transit of Beijing municipality.

The company has been, since its foundation, making great efforts to “ensure capital for construction projects; cut down investment and financing costs; and introduce market mechanism” in a diligent, truth-seeking and pioneer spirit. It keeps carrying out a marketization-based operation for related investment construction projects in the form of standardization and internationalization under the leadership of the municipal Party committee and the municipal government and with the support of all governmental departments. Over the past two years, the company has completed several projects through marketization operation, such as introduction of strategic investors for No. 4 line of Beijing subway, financing for the project of Beijing subway Olympic branch line in “Build-Transfer” form, and issuance and listing of 2 billion subway bonds while ensuring that funds for construction of rail transit are provided on time and in full.
    In the future, the company shall make persistent efforts to keep introducing urban infrastructure investment products which meet the demands of market and to guarantee the preservation and appreciation of state-owned assets through development and operation of related resources.
